About Biorock
Biorock is a waste water treatment plant that can be used for one-off residence to commercial set-ups.
James is great to work with and this is his THIRD Starter Website! James provided all the content in a single word document, with pages clearly defined under page headings. He provided a short brief about the colour scheme and left the rest to me.
Web Design Logic
Because the website topic discusses wastewater and sewage treatment, I thought it important to keep the look clean and spacious. I put the product image in the site banner so prospective customers will identify the product quickly.
Because the filtering system is biorock I wanted to use an ‘earthy’ and ‘gritty’ texture for the background, something subtle enough to frame the main content without stealing the show. I used a light blue/grey ‘noise’ type of texture to frame the page.
Besides the contact page, the site is a single column. There’s a lot of content on the site and I felt the full page width was required to best present it. This is a 6 page Starter Website, so it’s built as a simple website with CSS and XHTML – no content management system.
Conclusion
That’s pretty much it. Having read the site content myself I’m convinced this is the best sewage/wastewater treatment system because it has no moving parts, the biorock does all the work of cleaning the waste and it needs to be emptied far less than traditional wastewater products.
