By gathering all your website content before the project begins, StarterWebsites.net can streamline the web design process and offer you a speedy and less expensive service which is ideal for simple “brochure” style websites.
Once you have supplied your website content, we will begin to build your website. If you request us to source additional images for your new website there will be a charge per image. The price will be agreed with you before any additional costs are incurred. We will never bill you for any service that you did not agree to in advance. There are no hidden costs, there will be no surprise charges.
Work cannot begin on any website without a 25% or a 50% deposit (depending on the web package).
As part of the streamlined process which allows us to offer you great websites at low-cost, you trust us to build a website suitable to your business needs. After the initial brief you have no further input into the design of the website. This reduces administration time for us and costs for you. As part of our starter website package we will register a domain name for you for one year. Free domains for one year include .com, .net, .org and .biz. We can register .ie and .eu domains for you although charges will apply. However you will still receive a discount to the same value as a .com domain. After one year your domain name will need to be renewed in order for you to keep it. If you bought the domain name yourself you can renew it yourself. If Starter Websites ordered the domain name when setting up your website we will renew it for you. There is an annual administration charge for renewing domain names. In the event that you should wish to discontinue your website, Starter Websites will have the right to continue to us the domain name for our own purposes as long as we pay for it’s renewal. You do not hold Starter Websites liable for the loss of a domain name or any income because of a loss of a domain name because of a missed renewal deadline. You understand that the domain renewal service is provided without any risk to Starter Websites or it’s staff.
As part of our starter website package we will set up hosting for your website for six months from the date of your website going live. After that period you will invoiced for the second six months of hosting. There after you will be invoiced every 6 months or 12 months for hosting, and every 12 months for domain renewal. Failure to pay invoices within the time outlined in the invoice could result in the lost of your domain and hosting. We offer extremely competitive rates for hosting, with brochure website owners paying only €99 annually.
If you are sending us pictures for inclusion in your new website, please note the following:
We do not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of any photographs sent to us for use in customer websites. Please send only copies of original photographs. If you wish to have your photos returned to you, you must provide a self-addressed envelope with postage paid. We are not responsible for photographs that are lost in the post. Photos for scanning must be no larger than A4 size.
We aim to complete and launch every website within 5 to 10 working days of receiving all the content from customers. However, we do not guarantee the website will be complete within 10 working days, only that our aim is to complete them within that timeframe.
We are not liable for errors, omissions, any loss of business or income or the content of our clients websites. We are not liable for the loss of domains due to non-renewal or any expenses related to the loss of a domain. We are not liable for the loss of business or content due to hacked sites, corrupt files or server down time. Clients are responsible for backing up their own websites and should make local copies of all important material regularly.
Special Offers
Special offers are strictly limited to the time specified for each particular offer. To avail of a special offer do the follow:
- Order your website within the specified time frame
- Pay the required deposits no later than three working days after the last day of the special offer.
- Pay the balance within the timeframe or terms specified in the corresponding invoice.
Payments: Payments must be made within the time frame outlined in the invoice or same day if a timeframe is not given. Clients that exceed their payment time limit by 7 days will be billed an additional accumulative 2% per calendar week (or part of a calendar week) of the total of the outstanding invoice. In the instance of payment defaulters legal action will be taken and the total outstanding invoice, plus the accumulative penalty value and legal fees will be sought. Pursuing late paying clients takes time and threatens to increase costs for all clients because of the extra administration and impact on cash flow. Unfortunately this payment condition had to be introduced after a small number of clients extended their lines of credit far beyond the terms of their invoices. I have a policy of perusing all outstanding payments. Thank you to the majority of clients who pay their bills on time, these payment conditions will have no negative impact on you. Clients who genuinely need the terms of the invoice payment adjusted should contact Starter Websites to discuss a staggered payment BEFORE the due payment date of their invoice.
